Frequently Asked Questions

How should I use the fonts?

Once you download them, you can use them any way you like. You can install them to your computer and use them on software such as Word, Scribus, Inkscape, PowerPoint, etc. You can use them on websites. You can use them for virtually anything you can think of! For help on installing the fonts or using them in web development, we suggest you look up tutorials and guides.

I installed your fonts on my computer, but I can't seem to find them in my font menus. What gives?

All of our fonts, when downloaded, begin with ITG, so instead of looking for "Buchmann" in your font menus, search for "ITG Buchmann". This should solve your problem. If not, we suggest you re-install the fonts or restart your programs.

Can I get multiple families?

Yes, all of our fonts are available for download via our Fonts Downloader by entering the name of a single font family and then pressing the enter/return key to start a new line to add another family. There can only be one family per line. To see all of our available font families, press the dropdown and a numbered list will appear.

How can I use your fonts for web development?

You can either download the fonts and use them locally on your website, or you can use the Barclay Fonts API and specify itg as the font foundry. Click the link in the previous sentence to learn more about the Barclay Fonts API.

How are the fonts distributed?

All ITG fonts are available for download in TrueType format (.ttf files). If you need the fonts in another file format, such as OTF or WOFF2, then please use online file conversion tools like CloudConvert. Downloads come in the form of zip files which you must unzip to see the family or families.

Who can use your fonts?

Anyone can use our fonts for free, including (but not limited to) publishers, developers, students, and companies. As long as you follow the license, then you can use the font.

What license do you use?

We use the standard Open Font License for our fonts (some families may include Reserved Font Names). If we manufacture a custom font for you, then that font will also be licensed under the OFL. Read the OFL.txt and ITG_Fonts_ReadMe.txt files in your download before using the fonts.
